Q&A with Dotting the i

What is your company’s story? How did it come to be? What got you into the industry?

I was voted best handwriting in first grade and it went to my head. I have always loved hand lettering and was able to make that into a job. Lettering led me to the wedding industry and planning fell into my lap when I helped my sister in law plan her wedding and became addicted. Kyle and I met 3 years ago and he joined me as a partner in 2018 and things have continued to grow. I am so excited about where the future takes us!

What set Dotting the i apart from other event planners and coordinators?

You get the two of us for planning/coordination. We each bring specific skills and attention to detail. We also keep things fun and try to bring a lighter perspective to what can be a very serious industry. We want you to laugh together and enjoy every last second of your engagement and wedding day. Our combined experience brings 11 years of working in events and we will be real with you about what we know.

Why do you love working with JMGant Photography?

When working with Jared, you know you're working with an artist. He has such a unique eye and if you are looking into working with him I assume you already know that. I can pick his photos out because they are captivating and distinct. Jared is really great at keeping couples relaxed and pulling out the genuine moments. Even in his "specific scene" shots you can seen emotion from couples rather than staged poses. His attention to detail is unmatched and he is wonderful to work with from a planner’s perspective, too!
