Boulder Colorado Wedding | Sunrise Amphitheater | Lisa and Adam

The Boulder Colorado Sunrise Amphitheater was a beautiful location for Lisa and Adam's gorgeous wedding. I first met with Lisa and Adam at the Under the Sun Eatery prior to their engagement session. I could tell right away that these two were incredibly creative and that every aspect of their wedding day would be considered. The day started off with the bride and groom getting ready with their friends at their respective locations. After everyone got read we met up at the amphitheater for their first look. An hour later the ceremony began and so did the rain. While most might hesitate, Lisa and Adam didn't bat an eye and continued the ceremony as planned. Such a beautiful and powerful ceremony. After the ceremony, everyone headed down the mountain to dance the night away at Under the Sun Eatery. Congratulations, you two!

Their Story:
Lisa and Adam love to travel and see the natural splendor of the world. It was on one of their favorite trips (to Hawaii) that Adam proposed to Lisa.
After an amazing day of site-seeing, hiking, biking, and exploring a lava tube in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Lisa and Adam embarked on a five mile hike to the southern section of the park to check off something on Lisa's bucket list - to see a lava flow. They hiked for many miles in the sun, until they began to see the red glow of lava on the very distant slope of Mount Kilauea. With excitement, they began to walk faster, and turned into the cooled lava field, navigating up hill toward the smoke, traversing wide fissures and broken, cracked volcanic glass under foot.
As the sun went down, the heat began to increase. Adam stepped down into a valley that looked like many others they had traveled though that day but quickly backtracked when the temperature spiked easily 20 degrees F. Lisa and Adam choose a different path, taking the higher ground, and just over the last hill, they saw a pool of flowing, living, molten rock. Overwhelmed and thrilled Adam and Lisa carefully stepped their way down the hillside, and gathered with a few other people who were there to stare in wonder at this incredible natural phenomenon.
Lisa couldn't take her eyes away. Adam asked one of the other visitors there to take a few pictures (Adam showed this man the ring, and asked him to please take many pictures), and during this brief photo shoot, Adam got down on one knee, and there in front of a lake of the core essence of the earth, he asked Lisa to make him the happiest man in the world, and marry him.
Lisa said yes.
And so they reveled in their romance, standing next to the lifeblood of a planet, until they slowly started walking back toward civilization, a new chapter begun in their lives.
