Headshot Practice

A few weeks back I did headshots for a local engineering firm, and a few of their employees couldn’t make it that day. So, instead of going back to the firm I asked that they simply stop by my place for headshot make up day. You know, kinda like when you missed school picture day? Anyways, my kiddos were still home getting ready while I was setting everything up and of course they wanted their photos taken. I needed to get my lighting set up and honed in prior to the client arriving, so it was actually super helpful.

When shooting headshots, I typically use a 3-light setup, and hone in the requested look, one light at a time. We IG streamed this shot live, so if you missed it, definitely follow our IG account at @jmgantphotography and @gantfamtimes.
