It was such a pleasure to spend the day with Dan and Melissa throughout their Cheyenne Mountain Resort wedding in Colorado Springs. The day started at their house with Melissa getting done up by the amazing team from Salon 21, while the guys played a round of golf and enjoyed a few shots. Once everyone was ready we headed to Garden of the Gods for wedding party photos. Barely missing the rainstorm we had a great time walking among all the tourist and site seers, many of which turned their attention towards the bride, to capture fun photos of the bride and groom surrounded by their closest friends. After which we enjoyed a ride in an huge Denver Limo to the resort. With fingers crossed as it rained, the bride decided to keep their ceremony outside. With just a few minutes to spare, the rain stopped and the sun came out for a beautiful wedding ceremony facing the Cheyenne Mountain. After a few more family photos, cocktails and dinner, everyone danced the night away and sent the bride and groom off with a sparkler exit.
Their story told by Melissa: We have been together for six years and love to spend time outdoors camping and backpacking throughout the mountains. This past year we went to Hawaii and went to black sand beach for sunset. We walked around talking and Dan gave me a scrapbook he made of our previous adventures together and left a spot blank for Hawaii. He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. He had a photographer there to capture the moment.
