Denver Botanic Gardens Wedding | Denver Colorado Photographer | Daniel and Samantha

Daniel and Samantha first met with me over a year ago to discuss their Denver Botanic Garden wedding. I could tell immediately that these two were fun and would be a blast to work with. The Botanic Garden obviously offers many incredible locations to shoot, and the bright, bold colors match my photography style perfectly. The day began with Daniel and Samantha getting ready in their respective rooms, then meeting at the iconic greenhouse for their first look. Daniel waited patiently and a bit nervously as Samantha approached. After a few seconds of laughter, Daniel turned around and saw his soon-to-be bride with new eyes, eyes brightened by the anticipation of a lifetime together. Lots of laughter ensued as we walked the gardens capturing photos the two of them. Their ceremony was beautifully officiated by the bride's father, and then followed up by a reception party that none of their guests will forget.

Their Proposal Story:
After driving three hours to an unknown destination we landed in Beaver Creek, Colorado in February of 2016 to celebrate our 3-year anniversary. Daniel surprised me with this trip and refused to tell me where we were headed.
Once settled into our room we went out to explore the unique mountain town. It wasn’t long before we ended up in a restaurant that served some of the most amazing mozzarella cheese sticks we had ever tasted (a favorite since the start). While enjoying our meal, we decided to go snowshoeing the next day. What I didn’t know was that Daniel had this little excursion set up for months.
The next morning, we grabbed a quick bite to eat and then took the gondola up the mountain to start our snowshoe adventure. This was our first time trying this activity and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. Short sleeves and vented snow pants. Forward serval miles up a black diamond run covered in aspens, we stumbled upon one of the most beautiful mountain vistas we had ever seen.
Per usual Daniel set up his camera, in 3 feet of snow, to take our customary summit pictures. What I didn’t know was that Daniel had put the camera on an interval timer so that it would take a photo of us every 3 seconds. As the camera kept snapping he expressed his deepest feelings toward our relationship and the future of it. At that moment, he dropped to one knee and slowly pulled out a silver ring box and said, “Booze Cruze (one of our thousand nicknames) will you marry me?!” Shocked and overwhelmed with emotion, I ecstatically said “YES!”. He slid the ring onto my finger and I haven’t taken it off since.
Now a year and a half later, we are finally ready for our “I do’s.”
